Featured in CanvasRebel: Why Empowering Women Through Photography Means So Much to Me

When I first picked up a camera, I never imagined it would become so much more than a creative outlet. Today, photography has become my way of helping women see themselves with confidence, celebrate their accomplishments, and preserve moments they'll treasure for years to come.

That's why I was so honored to be featured in CanvasRebel Magazine, where I had the opportunity to share my journey, the lessons I've learned as a business owner, and the mission behind MARANDO Studios.

More Than Beautiful Photos

One of my favorite parts of the interview was talking about what truly drives my business.

Photography isn't simply about creating beautiful images. It's about creating an experience where someone walks in feeling nervous or unsure, then leaves standing a little taller and seeing themselves in a completely different light.

Whether I'm photographing a business owner building her brand, a woman celebrating a milestone, or someone stepping in front of the camera for the first time in years, my goal is always the same: to create photographs that remind her just how incredible she already is.

The Reality Behind Running a Photography Business

The interview also gave me a chance to talk about something many people don't see.

Being a photographer is about so much more than pressing the shutter.

It's planning sessions, scouting locations, answering emails, continuing my education, serving my clients, running a business, and constantly learning how to improve both the experience I provide and the artwork I create.

Every session is the result of countless hours behind the scenes, all with one purpose: making sure my clients have an experience that feels effortless and photographs they'll love for years to come.

A Community That Has Helped Me Grow

Looking back, I realize I didn't build this business alone.

I've been incredibly fortunate to learn from amazing photographers, mentors, and organizations like the Professional Photographers of Central Florida, which has challenged me to continue growing both creatively and professionally.

Those experiences have shaped not only my photography, but also the way I serve every client who walks through my door.
