About Me
the Woman Behind the Lens
I'm Margie, the photographer and owner behind MARANDO Studios. (Fun fact: I created that name using pieces of my own - MARgie ANn DOtson.)
What I really do goes beyond just taking photos. I help women rediscover their confidence, see their own beauty, and celebrate themselves exactly as they are. I specialize in boudoir, branding, and portrait photography that transforms how women feel in front of the camera—and more importantly, how they see themselves.

Why I Do This
I started this studio because I noticed something that bothered me: so many amazing women don't see themselves as others do. They miss their own beauty, strength, and radiance. I wanted to change that, one photoshoot at a time.
There's nothing quite like the moment when a client looks at her images and says, "Wow, I can't believe that's me!" That transformation - from nervousness to confidence - is what drives me every single day.

What to Expect
When you walk into my studio, be prepared for a comfortable space where your personality can shine through. Rather than follow a standard formula, each session is unique to you—with personalized setups and poses that naturally reflect who you are.
My approach is pretty straightforward: we'll chat, we'll laugh, we might even dance a bit. I'll show you some shots as we go because seeing really is believing. The whole experience is designed to feel like you're hanging out with a friend who happens to have a really nice camera.

Beyond the Camera
When I'm not in the studio, you'll probably find me out on the water paddleboarding or spending time with my Frenchie fur baby, Tank.
I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with pretty cups, and food is absolutely my love language. My go-to drink? Either champagne or a fancy seltzer, depending on the occasion.
Fun fact: Before becoming a photographer, I worked as a Sonographer—I guess you could say I've always had a thing for capturing images!
