Celebrating Women’s History Month: Honoring Strength, Beauty, and Resilience

Writer: Margie Ann DotsonMargie Ann Dotson

March is Women’s History Month, a time to reflect on the incredible impact women have made throughout history and continue to make every day. It’s a month dedicated to celebrating our progress, our resilience, and the unique stories that shape who we are.

At MARANDO Studios, I have the privilege of capturing the strength, confidence, and beauty of women through photography. Each session is more than just images—it’s about seeing yourself as powerful, worthy, and unapologetically you!

International Women’s Day – March 8th

In addition to celebrating Women’s History Month, March 8th marks International Women’s Day, a global moment to recognize the achievements of women across all fields and walks of life. This year’s theme, Accelerate Action, encourages us to addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres.

Whether you’re a business owner, a mother, a leader, or a woman navigating life’s many paths, your story deserves to be seen, honored, and celebrated.

A Story of Strength & Confidence

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is witnessing the transformations that happen during a session. It’s incredible to see a woman step into her power, embracing who she is in that moment. Here’s what one of my amazing clients had to say about her experience:

Stories like this are why I do what I do. Every woman deserves to see herself in a way that reminds her of her strength—because that power has always been there. Sometimes, we just need a little reminder.

Celebrating YOU

This month, I encourage you to take a moment for yourself. Reflect on how far you’ve come, celebrate your journey, and do something that makes you feel confident and empowered—whether that’s treating yourself to a new experience, setting bold goals, or finally booking that photo session to capture the essence of YOU.

I’d love to hear from you—who is a woman that inspires you? Drop a comment below or send me a message. Let’s continue to celebrate and lift each other up.

With admiration,
